A Place for Words You Do Not Need to Keep: Using Kamidana App’s Release Feature

Some words need to be written but not posted on social media or kept as a journal entry. Kamidana App provides a private input called “Release” for that situation.
This feature is not treatment and does not promise emotional improvement. It is designed as a boundary: write what you do not need to retain, then return to the real-world action still available to you.
Journal or release?
Use the journal for events and gratitude you may want to revisit. Use Release for words you do not need to keep. Separating the two avoids turning every passing thought into a permanent record.
What happens on screen
- Write the words you do not want to post or retain.
- Save the entry and acknowledge that you have placed it there.
- The screen states that the entry disappears after one day.
- Return to practical next steps such as communication, rest, or seeking support.
Behavior and wording may differ by app version. Do not enter confidential information or records you may need later.
Limits matter
The feature can keep the words off a public feed and mark a pause. It cannot solve the underlying problem or treat a mental or physical health condition. For safety, health, work, or relationship concerns, preserve necessary evidence and contact an appropriate person or professional.
